I see “PayPal Email” in my user settings.
But I can’t find it in my PayPal account.
I only have a PayPal.me link.
Why can’t I use that one instead?!

PayPal Email is the email address you used to sign up for PayPal services.
Regarding PayPal.me, thanks for pointing this out. We will add the option to add PayPal.me link in the future update. ;)
Well, but… how would my normal eMail work as a “money collector”, by any means?
afaik PayPal.me is newer than the classic method of having a paypal email: see it like a username, that let’s PayPal identify you and let other people directly send you money.
I find it hard to understand: How can people send money to an eMail address? On the other hand, Paypal.me is a DIRECT funnel to my pocket… ;)
Sorry for the account switching, didn’t realize signing up with google would set my name like this – dates all the way back to when I was a Jean-Michel Jarre loving kid, haha.
Just see it like a bank code number – something unique only you have access to. It’s not really about the mail-provider, more of an identifier.
So far, when I wanted to send money using PayPal directly to someone else, I logged into my PayPal account and entered the Email address the reciptient used for their PayPal. Of course, paypal.me is convenient as well! Everyone who has an PayPal account can recieve money through the email-method but the paypal.me has to be set up manually, that’s why patchstorage went with the email I guess.

UH! Would it work as well as PayPal.me would?
