As with all of our projects, users privacy and the security of their Personal Information is important to us. So, here we want to transparently explain how and why we collect your personal data when you visit and interact with Patchstorage and choices you have regarding this process. Information We Collect

When you interact with Patchstorage based on your interaction and consent we may collect Information, such as your email, name, IP address, date and time of your interaction, your browsing patterns, or your device Information. No sensitive personally identifiable Information is collected automatically without your consent.

 

Files You Share

When you upload your files to Patchstorage, it is up to you to decide what kind of Information you want to share publicly and if you want to include any of your Personal Information.

 

How Do We Use Your Information & Files

Personal Information

We use the Personal Information generally to provide you our Services, send you direct notifications related to your activity on this Site, and when in line with the interest you have shared with us to provide you with updates and news about Patchstorage.

Non-Personal Information

We use the Non-Personal Information that we collect to help us screen for potential spam and interactions abuse (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize Patchstorage (for example, by generating analytics about how our visitors browse and interact with the Site).

User Uploaded Files

We serve those files publicly to other users without any access restrictions. We may redundantly store or backup your uploaded files, transfer them between Patchstorage servers, or perform any other actions that we need to undertake for Patchstorage to function properly. You have the right to delete your uploaded files anytime you like. Additionally, please note that we cannot be held responsible for the content of the user uploaded files and their implications for your privacy.

 

Third Parties & Disclosure

For Patchstorage we use a select number of trusted external service providers listed below for certain technical tasks. These service providers are carefully selected and meet high data protection and security standards. We only share Information with them that is required for the services offered. In any other cases, we will only pass your data on to third parties without your explicit consent if we are obliged to do so by law.

Google

We use Google Analytics with an anonymization layer enabled to help us understand how our visitors use Patchstorage. Cookies

We use cookies to collect standard anonymized Information. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the Site or check if the visitor has previously accepted the terms of this very policy. We collect this Information in a way which does not personally identify anyone.
Also, if you have an account and you log in to Patchstorage, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

You may be aware that a new European Union law, called the General Data Protection Regulation or “GDPR” gives certain rights to individuals in relation to their personal data. By the law you have the right to access your Personal Information we hold about you and to ask that your Personal Information be corrected, updated, or deleted.
