ORACtron

This is an adaptation of callmesam’s mellowtron organelle patch (https://patchstorage.com/mellowtron-rework/) which itself is an adaptation of Pierre Massat’s PD patch (https://guitarextended.wordpress.com/2014/11/11/yellotron-a-mellotron-with-pure-data/)

I removed the mellowtron patch’s reverb because it sounded harsh on my pisound. I then configured it all to work in ORAC. It can probably be streamlined a bit more for ORAC so if I make any updates I’ll post them here.

The notes also don’t loop indefinitely. If I can address that I will.

Noticed that instrument selector isnt working right for me, wondering if the same is for anyone else?
0 mainly M300A with MKIIflute on some notes
    1 sounds like its M300A
    2 sounds like M300B and
    3 if you go 2 to 3 its M300B // if you go 4 to 3 its GC3 Brass
    4 sounds like GC3 brass
    5 is Cello
6 if you go 5 to 6 its cello // if you go 7 to 6 its Combined Choir
    7 Combined Choir
    8 Combined Choir

Note I downloaded all the samples and put the samples in their respective folders in the patch (Cello into Cello etc).

Also when you extract the ORACtron zip in usermodules location (I chose SD Card/media/orac/usermodules/synth to you also need to go to home/patch/ORACtron/synth select mellotron cut it and go back to SD Card/media/orac/usermodules/synth and paste it there to avoid the weird name jumble.

This patch has caused me unreal headache when I tried to convert it so kudos to you for getting it done just trying to point out unintended bugs :)

Those are some odd bugs for sure with the selector. I’ll look into it, although I have no way of testing it on the organelle since I’m doing this via pisound. Maybe check the filenames on the samples, in the previous mellowtron patch they mentioned some of the note files being named sharp when they should be flat or vice versa.

Works fine on my organelle m. Switching instruments is a bit slow – allow 1-2 secs. And of the 10 instruments only the first 9 can be selected, because the knob 1 only ranges between 0 and 8.
    Thus no GC3Brass.

By changing the range of the instruments parameter from 0-8 to 0-9 in module.json, all instruments are accessible. That turned out to be an easy fix. Great patch, especially when combined with an arpegiator and (e.g.) reverb.
