MetropleXT-mini – Metroplex for the X-Touch mini and other MIDI controllers

This sequencer is based on the excellent Metroplex v1.5 by Bryan Appel. Thanks Bryan! The original Metroplex can be found here: https://patchstorage.com/metroplex/

The documentation of the original Metroplex is in the script. A PDF manual about the new features and with instructions about how to set up the MIDI controller in in the ZIP package.

Features:
– Full support for Behringer X-touch Mini MIDI controller (incl. LED feedback).
– Most features can be accessed through the hardware controller.
– Configurable support for either relative or absolute CC input for the knobs.
– Relative (Encoder) configuration with configurable acceleration.
– MIDI takeover to prevent jumps when changing parameters.
– “Jog Wheel” to move through the sequence manually. Scratching for MIDI!
– Code optimizations to reduce CPU / DSP use.
– The supplied configuration for the X-touch mini is adapted for another of my favourite iOS sequencers: Art Kerns MidiDreams.
– Easy configuration of used CCs, enable/disable LED feedback, acceleration and more.
– The script can be easily adapted for other MIDI controllers (eg. Korg Nanokontrol2).

Contents of the ZIP package:

Mozaic Script:
MetropleXT-mini-2.3.mozaic
MetropleXT-mini-2.3.txt (text version for editing)

Behringer X-Touch mini configuration files:
LayerA-CCOnly-MidiDreams.bin
LayerB-CCOnly-MidiDreams.bin

Documentation:
CC-Only-Configuration-MidiDreams.txt (MIDI map)
MetropleXT-mini-2.3.pdf (Manual)

Hello, thank you for your very impressive script

I’d like to ask you a few questions:

when we go back to the different sections (pitch, velocity …), do the encoders have to reflect their values or is it normal for there to be no value displayed on the rings? (maybe a bad configuration)

Do you have a trick for speeding up the encoders?

    Thanks for your great work

oops, I forgot, I can’t get the mutate function to work

The encoders have acceleration. If you turn them faster the output jumps over a bigger distance. The encoder LEDs are only displaying the current step (all LEDs on) but no values. This is sadly not possible because the X-Touch mini is not sending any MIDI information when you switch between the layers.
