Poor man’s hang

Prompted by the Karplus Strong discussion on the BeepStreet forum involving @rs2000 and @gravitas I’ve decided to do some messing around with the old good modal resonator module (not karplus) and try to make it sound hangy. As I kept working on it I started to loose objectivity, as one does, but I kinda like the sound.

It took me whole of 30 minutes to get here so dial your expectations low!

The current sound feels somewhere between steel drum and hang but It definitely is not a hang drum replacement, just an experiment. I feel there’s still some misbehaving resonances.

Tweak to taste.

May it be an invitation to others to upload their hang impersonations and may it eventually culminate in ‘the battle of the hangs’. Can’t wait!

NB. Load as an instrument rack preset.

A few people have reported D crashing on patch load. I’m re-uploading a version with no beta modules for the second time now to see if it will sort out these issues. If not you will need to wait until the next Drambo update which shouldn’t be too long. Sorry about that.
