West Coast Synthesis Part 10: Wave Folding

A quick patch that allows you to audition a bunch of different wave shapers and wave folders.
I took 18 wave shapers/folders and ran a sine wave through all of them (there are more than 18 in the VCV Library, but this is a good sampling of them). They are setup in 2 rows (9 each) and each has a label next to a mute button. All of the the modules start off with their signals muted.
The top row goes into channel 1 of the mixer, the bottom row goes into channel 2. You can have multiple shapers going at the same time and build up even more complex waves.
There’s a scope, VCF and LFO for the top and bottom rows.

As a general rule, wave shapers and folders love sine waves. They don’t work quite as well with complex waves like sawtooth, or square…but they still will effect the sound. To the left of the sine wave are a square, saw and triangle oscillator that can be swapped out with the sine.

I didn’t like that the glue labels are always behind the cable connections. But if you attach the labels like in your patch it looks not bad at all. Cool idea to attach it like this :)

Yeah , it took me awhile to figure out that I should put them on a blank panel instead of the mute module.
