Insert Mode Program. Configured for Series Routing (default). Free-running glides in optional Parallel Routing. Program MIX 40-45% (via EXP1). HarModulator into Diatonic. Programmed for stereo use.
Following my continuing theme of pitch mangling: The base program is a conventional scaled harmony, with a few detuned notes spaced out over time. Pedal actions cause it to drift off into REM sleep with altered brain waves, then arrive at thought patterns on an endless loop.
Default Key/Scale = Em. Key LEARN & HotKnob B [Diatonic Scale]. Still the best results from single note lines, dyads & perfect intervals. But pleasantly unpredictable results from extra-scalar notes, random Key/Scale selection and string bending.
EXP1 sweeps Program Mix, plus HarModulator Mod Depth*** & Mod Speed. EXP2 (optional) sweeps HarModulator Feedback & Diatonic Feedback A & B, for increased regeneration to micro-looping (saved at Heel).
All three HotKnobs are pre-programmed for making fine adjustments to several of the effects. Customize the sound, using these variations:
* [P] HotKnob (+/-) – adjust Delay A & B in both HarModulator & Diatonic [default = 45]
* [A] HotKnob (+/-) – adjust HarModulator Shape [default = 8].
* [B] HotKnob (+/-) – change Diatonic Scale [default = 8].
* MIDI CC#8 HarModulator Mix
* MIDI CC#10 HarModulator & Diatonic Pitch Mix
* MIDI CC#16 HarModulator Pitch A
* MIDI CC#17 HarModulator Pitch B
* MIDI CC#18 Diatonic Pitch A
* MIDI CC#19 Diatonic Pitch B
* MIDI CC#40 Diatonic Mix
* MIDI CC#80 Diatonic Quantize
Other options for use as performance techniques: Program-wide TAP 60 BPM, Retrigger LFO or FLEX +1 octave in HarModulator, key LEARN for Diatonic on both pages.
See the Program Notes for more information on the PERFORM switch mappings.
***[Side Note: Can I be the only one who thinks the HarModulator Mod Depth reversed its effect somewhere along the line?]
