Wavetable Synth with Mod Matrix – inspired by Ensoniq VFX/TS series

I set out trying to make an emulation of one of my favourite synths, the Ensoniq VFX-SD, the patch got further away from that initial goal as I went along.

Ultimately this is a 4 oscillator wavetable synth with a modmatrix. The MindMeld PatchMaster modules allowed me to make a nice user interface but some of the parameters still need to be accessed using the modules themselves, most notably when you’re selecting a wavetable. The mod matrix isn’t labelled at this time, maybe I will attempt to label it in the future, either waay it should be fairly self explainatory based on what is feeding into it.

Enjoy! :)

Thank you so much for putting all these synths together. Much appreciated. For the Roland JX-8P, what cross modulation have you missed out, I am sure there must be a module that does those. What did the original synth have for cross modulation?

There are three kinds of modulation on on the JX8P. One is basic sync (which I included), the other is audio rate amplitude modulation (pretty sure, i might be remembering that wrong now), and the third is combination of the two. I couldn’t get the amplitude modulation working right, maybe I can give it another go in the near future.

I’m glad you’re enjoying my synths, they were fun to build :)
