This synthesis method is forgotten today but it raised enormous hopes at the beginning of individual computing. With only 0 and 1 all wave forms are possible, as discovered by Walsh and Hadamard, hence the name of this synthesis. A kind of Fourier synthesis but only with quasi square waves instead of sine ones. Welcome in 70’s ;-)
