VCV Rack #45: Synthetic Nature

In this patch I use a different approach to imitate birdsong than last time. For the basic tone I use the whistle from Tangents. The chirping is modulated with 2 LFO’s and unwanted noises are cut off with an ADSR. The pitch is controlled in the Texture Synthesizer with S&H. I added a white noise, which should give a feeling of being in a park or a forest. The added LLFO makes the sound brighter after a while, which sounds a bit like leaf noise. To increase the feeling of a light breeze, I also added a wind chime sound (Triangle & Bells). Finally, I added a horn sound, so everything together doesn’t sound too empty and you get more the feeling of being in a park near a harbour, or something like that.
