Another quick patch for the VCP challenge #77 – create a patch featuring the Imagine module from Pachde. This time I explore the use of Imagine as a VCO. I drive the play head via external CV from a pair of LFOs. One uses a relatively fast saw tooth for the y coordinate to create the pitch, and the other a much slower triangle for the x coordinate to vary the timbre. I adjusted the scale and offset of the x coordinate LFO to keep the play head in an area that did not have drastic changes in timbre.
I use the red and green channels to get stereo signals – the pitches are the same, but the timbre varies for each.
I used a touch of a 3rd LFO mixed in with the pitch CV to add a bit of vibrato to the high voice.
Each LFO uses two channels to support two independent voices. The Proteus sequencers send their V/Oct output to the Y LFO to establish the two melodies. And the X LFO uses two different slow rates so that the two voices rarely use the same timbre at the same time.
No sound at output, image did not download with patch.
