“Legato Morph” – Bleeps and bloops morph into a string-like legato, and then morph back.
Uses weighted selections for note length and pitch. A modulated LFO controls gate width and most timing.
Crunched numbers…
Note Lengths:
8th note = log2(1/2) = -1V
Quarter note = log2(1) = 0V
Half note = log2(2) = 1V
Dotted half = log2(3) = 1.585V
Note pitches (Pythagorean Tuning):
C – root
F – log2(4/3) = 0.415V (vs .417)
G – log2(3/2) = 0.585V (vs .583)
A – log2(27/16) = 0.755V (vs .75)
D – log2(9/8) = 1.170V (vs. 1.167)
Delay:
180bpm means 0.33 seconds per beat. An 8th note is .167 seconds, so a 7/8 delay is 1.169 seconds.
