VCP 13: Fixpoint Lab

Originally, the plan was just to take two xycloids, modulate all the things and see what happens. As I started modulating the two xycloids with each other, I connected one’s Y output with the other’s speed control. This means that there’s a pair of Y values where each one cancels out the other’s speed setting, such that speed goes to 0 for both xycloids, causing the sound to end. As it turns out, this fixpoint is a sort of attractor: if the two Y values get into the vicinity of 0, they start spiralling towards absolute 0. There’s no telling when this happens, so everytime you press the manual trigger to give one of the speed values a little bump, you get a little unique mini-composition.
