Touch area example. A simple preset showing how to trigger a shape generator with the lowest note on the Osmose set to the touch area. The shape generator will trigger when you press the C2 (low C on Keyboard) as the Touch area is applied there (and the few notes below it) as a gate which triggers the single cycle shape generator at a controllable Frequency from 1-20 Hz using Macro Controller i. A triangle shaped SG set to SG1 is applied as a gain scalar to the SL/SR outputs that will output the Oscillator when a key is pressed along with the touch area – to give you one example on how to use this.
Because a triangle shape is used it will go from 0 to 1 and back each time the SG is triggered at speed set with i (if you set fast enough you can then tap rhythms in your left hand on C1 holding down notes to get them to sound). No sound will be output by just pressing keys above the touch area as the volume scalar will default to 0, basically silencing any output until the SG is triggered with the touch area.
This will work on Continuum as well though you need to find the touch area there of course. Any press in the six note touch area will do the same thing.
(i) – Changes speed/Frequency of SG to move through the set shape.
(ii) – Sets timbre on the oscillator used for the example preset.
