Tintinnabuli

A Misc/Rack module that contains the Mozaic script described below, plus some Transpose and chord utilities.
– Mozaic AUv3 is needed
– Tonality Chord Pads AUv3 is used, but can be replaced or deleted

Tintinnabuli v1

Melody harmonization in the Tintinnabuli style developed by Arvo Pärt.

▫️Tap the pads to define a chord, or send in a chord on MIDI channel 16. The harmonizing T-voice uses notes from this chord only.
▫️Send in MIDI on any channel other than 16. This is the melody M-voice that will be harmonized.

Knobs:
▫️Direction: Harmonize below or above melody note (or alternate, or random).
▫️Distance: Use 1st or 2nd found harmonizing note (or alternate, or random).
▫️Delay: Delay amount applied to the harmonizing notes.
▫️Delay Free: Alternatively, delay amount independent of BPM. Delay must be set to “Free” (last position).

Note: Both M-voice and T-voice flash simultaneously, also when a delay is applied to the T-voice midi note.

Settings pads (tap to change):
▫️Melody out:
– Yes: MIDI out is a mix of M-voice and T-voice.
– No: MIDI out is T-voice only.
▫️Transpose: Applies to the T-voice.

Note: as a stand-alone Mozaic script, the pad configs make sense for transposing and mixing with the melody input. In Drambo it is better to have these off, and rather use Drambo to transpose etc. This rack has 3 MIDI outputs; mix, M-voice, and T-voice.

Thanks for this. My first foray into Mozaic. And released on 10/10, nice.
