Insert Mode Program – Series Routing – Program Mix 50%. Programmed for stereo use.
This is not your standard delay effect. UltraTap into Harpeggiator. Unpredictable, glitchy, roll-of-the-dice, masquerading as trailing echoes. The base preset uses the panning UltraTap delay taps to trigger processing: random pitch, random slicing patterns, and random glitches.
All three HotKnobs are pre-programmed for making fine adjustments to several of the effects. Customize the sound, using these variations:
* [P] HotKnob CCW – runs through triple combinations of pitch Sequences, Rhythms, and FX in the HarPeggiator, including all OFF [default = 100]
* [A] HotKnob CW – increases Feedback in UltraTap [default = 0].
* [B] HotKnob (+/-) adjusts the overall Length parameter in the HarPeggiator. CW = faster pattern cycling; CCW = slower pattern cycling. [Default = 25].
EXP1 sweeps the UltraTap Taper, adds Slurm, Swell to Trigger, Width, along with the HarPeggiator Dynamics parameter. In general, slower attack – Heel; staccato attack – Toe.
Other options include retriggering the UltraTap “chop machine”, restarting all HarPeggiator patterns, UltraTap S&H into HarPeggiator RND filters, doubling UltraTap Length, while halving the number of Taps, and dropping all HarPeggiator patterns, while randomizing only the FX sections .
See the Program Notes for more information on the PERFORM switch mappings.
