Huge, dangerously loud resonant polyphonic synth, processed by a 2nd resonant polyphonic synth. Reminiscent of stacked modulars with a rat’s nest of patch cords, connecting steep ‘n’ deep filters, multi-modulations, and a monochromatic CRT screen.
EXP1 sweeps LFO Amounts & Rates over PWM & filter Cutoff modulation, along with the voicing Spread for both instances, adding Detune for PolySynth 2. EXP2 (optional) is mapped to both PolySynth Pitch Wheels, up an octave for faking slow portamento sweeping. Saved at Heel.
All three HotKnobs are pre-programmed for making fine adjustments to several of the effects. Customize the sound, using these variations:
* [P] HotKnob (+/-) – adjusts Cutoff & Resonance simultaneously for both PolySynth instances. Watch out when approaching 100. [default = 50]
* [A] HotKnob (+/-) – adjusts Shape 1,2,3 for PolySynth1. [default = 75].
* [B] HotKnob (+/-) – adjusts Shape 1,2,3 for PolySynth 2. [default = 65].
Preset [A] & [B] HotKnobs provide base timbre changes in either or both PolySynth instances.
Other options include momentary or latching FREEZE options [Release times set under Main Params] in either / both PolySynths. They are in a Series routing, so there are a lot of combinations here.
HS1 changes the LFO Shape from Random to Sample & Hold in both PolySynths. Nicely gargling multi-modulations, in-between EXP1 positions. Have your hearing protection handy, just in case.
