tails from the vult of dub

v-skatch 2: another excuse to try and wrap my puny brain around the big vult sound. they are like the stout beer of modules. it’s tough not to get beat or bass oriented with these beefy modules (those trummor’s kind of make beats a duh). the bottom two rows are mostly “stripped” in from older vcv explorations i did (its great to be able to join forces of older patches that don’t really work on their own). stoermelder’s strip: don’t leave home without it. now we just need a module that imports entire vcv patches.

coupla notes for the patch journal:

1. had A LOT of fun running clock triggers through delays effects for weird timing oddness. also, i had no idea before this sketch what one could do with just one clock and the chances module! if you’re going to twerk this patch, i recommend going to the clock messing with the two smaller knobs (below the big tempo knob) – also the “rev” button produces some nice weird rhythmic results

2. the squinky comp sounds really smooth and transparent.. plus it’s very low on cpu cycles. honestly the free vst “loudmax” is what i favor the most but for the sake of keeping these patches 100% portable to the general public, i’m leaving the host module out of the picture for now. but if you’re gonna invest in 1 set of paid for modules – i highly recommend “host” as it’s funds go directly to support vcv’s developers. but also host is insanely powerful in that it opens vcv up to so many more audio processing/instrument options.

note: the 3rd row down contains a remix of markireland’s chordzsaw patch (this patch helped me learn a bit of polyphonic action in vcv)

as always: plz use this however you want and or strip it for parts ;)
