* UPDATED TO EYESY OS 3.0 * A text-based mode for subliminal, briefly flickering messages. Only pressing the Persist Toggle button brings the dirty truth to light.

Instructions:
Place a text file with your messages in the “txt“ subfolder. Make sure that each line contains a linefeed. The text file is then divided into individual lines. Each line is randomly selected and then divided into individual words by the spaces.

These are then displayed on the screen in sequence for each audio or MIDI trigger. Each word will be displayed in a different random font and size. If you want to use your own fonts (True Type only) just place them in the “fonts“ subfolder.

The trigger threshold can be adjusted using knob 3. In the lowest setting, one word is displayed for each trigger, in the outermost position only every 8th trigger displays a word. This is useful for faster music styles.

Controls:
Knob1: X/Y-Position: At position 0, the text is displayed randomly across the entire screen. The further the position moves towards 1, the more centered the text is displayed to the middle of the screen. At position 1, it is 100% centered.

Knob2: Text Angle: At position 0, the angle of the text is 0 degrees – straight. The further the position moves towards 1, the more extreme random values between -45° and 45° get generated.

Knob3: Audio/MIDI Trigger Treshold: For faster music you might want to increase the trigger treshold. At 0 position, the text is displayed at every trigger. Moving towards 1, the text is displayed less often. At 1, the text is displayed every 8th trigger.

Knob4: Text Color
Knob5: Background Color

Contents in the text file are mostly movie quotes and run out etchings of vinyl records. Feel free to use your own.

*** IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR USERS OF EYESY OS 2.3 OR EARLIER ***

For all versions of Eyesy OS prior to version 3.0, it is necessary to rename the file `main_eyesy_os_2_3.py` to `main.py` to ensure proper functionality.

Before performing this renaming, please take the following steps:

1. Rename the existing `main.py` file to `main_eyesy_os_3.py` if you intend to keep it for future use with Eyesy OS 3.0 or later.
2. Alternatively, you may remove the existing `main.py` file if it is not needed.

This renaming process is crucial to ensure compatibility with Eyesy OS versions before 3.0.
