Surprise Me

About this patch… It started as a “Back to Basics” exercise using Fundamental modules now found in the VCV folder. It came out somewhat interesting so other elements were added. It is the third componet that is introduced. The pseudo panning effect comes from the first Black Octasource synced with Clocked plugged into the volume cv of the AS mixer (along with addition panning of the high tones).
The JMJ inspired noise is Colors routed through Stairway in Phasor/Clean mode. Took advantage of CV2 to add S&H from a second Black Octasource(BOS) to the LLFO modulation of Fc.
The trigger of the Burst generator fed into FM-OP, Chronoblob and its own Plateau, is timed to hit the ADDR-SEQ randomly.
Next up is that wonderful SUBOUT of Black Wavetable. Filtered through Alma, the FRQ CV is receiving S&H from BOS which is producing the hi frequency clicks and pops. Also, S&H is being fed to the WAVE CV of the VCO. Closing the video with the bass gives a chance to hear what is going on.
And then Dopamine kicks in and steals the show. Channelling its inner improv, the square wave coming out of an EvenVCO never sounded better. Filtered by Ferox (which has been getting more work since it was mentioned in Andrew Belt’s presentation last week) again S&H is used on the EvenVCO PWM and the RES of Ferox. Ferox BITE is modulated by the pitch coming out of the EvenVCO.
And with all that is going on it seems like all the components sit together well with each other.
