Strumming the center 2 columns of the y pad strums through 8 configurable notes. To avoid all notes sounding at once, there is a slew limiter for both X and Y values.

There is also an envelope that acts as a strum on trigger. Change the speed, direction from current Y position, and amount of strum with the controls.
