This is my first exploration of the module #Rainbow in vcv rack (Prism pluggin).
Developped by John Hoar, thanks to him. It’s part of the very cool patch challenge hosted by Ben de Groot. Thanks to him too.
This module is based on the 4ms spectral multiband resonating filters whitch is a kind of wizzard in sound painting process but also in more musical stuff, since it has a built in quantizer.
In this patch, Rainbow’s even chanels receive a Karplus Strong voice and modulates a bunch of its parameter using envelope outputs. Odd chanels are just excite by triggers generate from the clock through a bernoulli gate.
A relatively small patch since Rainbow is quite CPU demanding. But it doesn’t require a lot of stuff to produce some good sounds.
