This is a study of a method of generating chords from a single sine wave. Each note of a random melody gets divided into 8 new tones, comprising the first 8 undertones of that note. Plus a bunch of other modulation and stuff to make it sound good (at least to my ears). Not my first patch, but my first decent patch starting from scratch. Also my first piece of 2023.

The title comes from Michael Swanwick’s novel of the same name.
