Spice Flower AUM TouchOSC Control Template
Version 0.61 Update Release Notes

This update fixes a few bugs and is now available in multiple iPhone and iPad setups, including over 40 popular synth plugins pre-programmed for your convenience.
– Both iPhone and iPad versions now include a basic KB-1 control panel which allows the template to be used without the TouchOSC controller. Because of an import/export bug in KB-1 you will have to program the controls yourself, but detailed instructions are included below. It should only take you about 5 minutes and is well worth the effort. When properly executed the KB-1 and TOSC remotes will now reflect each other’s changes which is kind of a happy accident I was hoping to include in the next update, and the KB-1 now reflects the TOSC remotes’ constrainment to 16 MIDI channels, meaning you can increment/decrement between channels 1 and 16 while the TOSC remote is active which is great. While operating on an iPhone the KB-1 remote is one of the few windows in the template which is best viewed in vertical/portrait mode, while most other windows are designed for a horizontal/landscape orientation. I have set the windows so while in horizontal mode you can easily navigate Channel Left and Right while the LK window is active and when you switch to Vertical layout all KB-1 controls will display their full text.
– I have changed all the Momentary and Toggle switches on Page 1 to values used by (*ch 16 only) controls so there are none appearing on Channel 16 anymore , like the Synth Page FX Controls. As of now every available CC has been dedicated on all 16 MIDI channels so the template is very close to a completed state. The only significant changes I have planned are the Helium/Atom clip launching grid (for page 2) in the very near future, and I may use the bottom 2 octaves of notes on Channel 16 to make some controls for accessing the Bus FX A-D in a few weeks.

Some Usage Tips:
– The Toggle & Momentary buttons on Page 1 and all rotaries on Page 4 are reserved for your own user assignments, and I have done my best to make sure they are not duplicated anywhere else in the system so go crazy with your own customizations. I will be releasing a series of the template for both iPhone and iPad pre-programmed with assignments for many popular synths, but even a lunatic like me has limits.
– There are 4 controls in the Synth FX Panel which are duplicated elsewhere so please keep this in mind. They are: 38 and 78 which also are Page 1 Toggles; and 39 and 45 which appear twice in the FX Panel. I will address this but right now I am focused on getting the clip launcher put together for Helium and Atom, and to be honest I’m kinda worn out on pushing buttons from putting this massive and amazing project together.
– Please refer to the full Setup guide included in the package (AUM Notes or SessionNotes) and of course the online help display in the TOSC remote’s lower right hand corner.

Instructions for setting up a compatible KB-1 Control Panel:
Due to a bug in KB-1 you will have to program the panel yourself, here are the settings:
– MIDI Channel = 16
– Set buttons to 2 and 2 per line
– Button 1 “ATOM”, CC 114, Toggle
– Button 2 “LK”, CC 25, Toggle
– Button 3 “GOTO” CC 26, Momentary
– Button 4 “OPEN”, CC 27, Toggle
– Button 5 “MUTE” CC 28, Toggle
– Button 6 “SOLO” CC 29, Toggle
– Button 7 “<>” CC 110, Momentary
– Button 9 “HREC” CC 31, Toggle
– Button 10 “BYP” CC 34, Toggle
– Button 11 “PLAY” CC 106, Momentary
– Button 12 “STOP” CC 105, Momentary
– Button 13 “CLIK” CC 37, Toggle
– Button 14 “LOOP” CC 38, Toggle
– Button 15 “HELI” CC 113, Toggle
– Button 16 “MTR” CC 115, Toggle
The ATOM, HELI, and MTR buttons will not only open the Subsequencer but also trigger the MIDI Thru states when the TOSC remote is active (ESSENTIAL!)

The Channel 1 to 16 increment decrement to each other will also function correctly when the TOSC remote is active.

When in Vertical mode on a phone the panel will display the button text in full, when in Horizontal mode and behind the open LK window you will see the <> buttons just underneath the LK window and while the fader, track name and BMSR controls will be hidden all other AUM controls will be viewable and these functions are all more easily used via the TOSC remote in any case.
