I took Omri’s “Musical ‘Tricks’ for Generative Patches” and micro-tonalized it. His patch was beautiful and this one is…not.
It has a 24 note microtonal scale. So everything sounds slightly “off”. I did leave space between the notes and the pad oscillators are set an octave apart. It does have a lot of dissonance, but it’s not a wall of noise.
All oscillators are sine waves with wave folding and low pass gates. I went through a mirotonal phase around 1987. It’s still fun to play around with it once in a while. I even built a 18 note/scale guitar. It was an interesting experiment, but it sounded horrible.
