play a longish sample, crossfading at loop points.

just make sure the xf point (based on position relative to slice) leaves enough space for the xf time. That is, if your sample is 10 seconds, and your xf point knob is set to 9V, then your xf time should be 1 second or less.

The flip pan is superfluous to the main point of the patch.
