Benjolin Variations

A simple implementation of a Benjolin patch (Rob Hordijk), with two VCO variations.

HetrickCV rungler makes this very, very easy to setup…

There are two VCO’s, one clocking the rungler, and one providing data to the rungler as well as audio out to the filter. Keep the clock vco at lfo rates for the rungler to output distinct notes. Push the clock vco to audio rates for more chaotic behavior.

Use the BOG offset module for more extreme options in adjusting the rungler feedback.

I provide two vco variations.

1. Bog VCO. The slow switch makes it easy to go down to lfo rates (which we want for slower, more melodic rungler behavior), but can also just be a vco if you want to explore the noisy mess side of the patch.

2. Tidal modulator 2 (tides); the complex waveshaping options yield many interesting behaviors. It also allows us to make the patch stereo.

I went for Freak as my filter because I just love Vult filters.

Touch of plateau reverb at end of chain.
