I love playing around w/ shift registers! There is a random note generator running into a clocked sample and hold, of which there are a chain of seven additional clocked sample and holds sampling one after the other. Four very simple voices (sine osc. into vca, output of oscillator goes into its own fm) are triggered by probabilistic envelopes, also clocked alongside the shift register so everything is in sync. These voices are then panned and ran into delay and reverb for beautiful sparkly generative soundscapes.
