Utilizes S&H and gate inverter modules to build a Shift Register. The Shift Register is a chain of S&H modules, which pass their value on to the next in the chain on each successive gate. Each S&H has their own output.

So on gate 1, input goes to Output 1, on gate 2, Output 1 receives a new value and Output 2 receives 1st value. On gate 3, Output 1 receives new value, Output 2 receives second value, and Output 3 receives first value. And so on!

Here, 3 fm operators receive pitch from 3 separate outputs. What you get is a note follow effect on each gate.
