sci-fi gui sfx generator

a minimal texture smorgasborder! i recommend holding your mouse over the voxglitch ‘grain fx’ module and spamming “ctrl r” on the keyboard (or right click and choose ‘randomize’… a bunch) – to get interesting new sounds this way. of course, recording the output to .wav, and you will end up with a lot of fun textures to load into a sampler.

you could use sounds from this as a background layer in your next ambient techno banger. or make weird impulse responses out of them for convolution sound designing. turn the sample rate in your daw way up to upsample at hi-res, record that then pitch the result way down to see what happens. and so on.

this patch was actually initially created in vcv 2 standalone (before running across cardinal) to generate sounds i could utilize on a recent sci-fi video game i worked on. the patch perfectly ported into cardinal. most modules in cardinal load up fine in the free vcv2 standalone (and vice versa.. as long as you only use modules available in cardinal)
