The challenge was that every previous attempt, after I used up the Surge XT Sine for the kick and Palette for the bass I had nothing left over for anything tonal to do a melody with. I like the sounds you can get from Tube Unit for textures but it’s hard to control what note actually comes out so my first attempts were very atonal. It never occurred to me to use ShapeMaster for audio waveforms and this is my first attempt at that but the bass tone is surprisingly acceptable. I also learned during the course of this challenge how to use merge into mixmaster mutes to add some structure to a patch.
