This is a dual MIDI-sequencer based on the sequencer-section of the Moog SubHarmonicon, which in turn takes its inspiration from the Rhythmicon by Leon Theremin.
Each sequencer has 4 steps and is advanced by one or more selectable ‘clocks’, each a division of the main clock. This creates polyrhythms. Sequencer 1 goes to MIDI channel 1, sequencer 2 to MIDI channel 2. The left stomp switch (dis)engages sequencer 1, the middle stomp switch (dis)engages sequencer 2. The right stomp switch resets both sequencers.
Page 0 (sequencers):
Top row – Sequencer 1 + left stomp switch in ‘orange’.
Bottom row – Sequencer 2 + middle stomp switch in ‘red’.
Middle row – visual feedback of the four clock dividers, respectively in ‘aqua’, ‘sky’, ‘blue’ and ‘purple’.
Second row – latching switches in corresponding colors to route the four clock dividers to sequencer 1.
Fourth row – latching switches in corresponding colors to route the four clock dividers to sequencer 2.

The main clock in ‘surf’ and MIDI clock out in ‘magenta’.
Four clock dividers (/3, /5, /7, /8) in ‘aqua’, ‘sky’, ‘blue’ and ‘purple’.
A momentary reset switch for all the above in ‘white’.
Page 2 (switches s1):
Top row in ‘orange’ pixels to indicate this page concerns sequencer 1, plus MIDI note out 1 (note and gate to MIDI channel 1).
Switches in corresponding colors to switch the output of the four clock dividers on/off (UI on page 0, row 2). These outputs are collectively sent to another switch (‘magenta’) that is (dis)engaged with the left stomp switch and gets sent to the gate in of MIDI note out 1. The outputs are also sent to trigger modules. These outputs are collectively sent to another switch (‘peach’) that is also (dis)engaged with the left stop switch and gets sent to the gate in of sequencer 1. This is to ensure that the sequencer advances where gates of clock division would overlap.

Identical to page 2, only for sequencer 2 (‘red’); MIDI channel 2 and middle stomp switch.

Functionality of the SubHarmonicon sequencer section that has not (yet) been incorporated:
– Switchable routing of seq1/seq2 to the divisions of the clock dividers. For this I would have to figure out how to scale the output of the sequencers to scroll through the divisions.
– The rhythm generators of the SubHarmonicon aren’t necessarily in sync when you change the divisions, causing even more pronounced syncopation. Adding cv delays between the main clock and the clock dividers would allow for manual control over this syncopation.
Other ideas:
– Variable gate length. I have experimented with the clock dividers each clocking a square wave LFO and using swing (i.e., PWM). However, controlling swing with a shared cv value means the adjustment is relative, not absolute. Figuring out the ratios for each division seems like a lot of work. Controlling them separately doesn’t feel like an elegant solution. Also, the LFOs take some time to catch up to their clocks which means that the patch goes wild on startup and doesn’t deal elegantly with changing the divisions while running.
