I have been studying Berlin School techniques. One of the ideas is to have “plucky” voices with polymeter rhythms with a slower-attack voice as a lead. Here I made my complex rhythm using sequences with step lengths 2, 3, and 5. I also alternate a hi/lo drum sound every 4 steps. I play my MIDI keyboard as the lead voice. Mostly I’m playing D as my root note, wandering around on A, B, G.
