Zoia – Process for Downloading Patches to Zooa

Hi,

I simply don’t understand the process for downloading patches from patchstorage to the Zoia. Would someone be willing to provide a brief step-by-step tutorial? Thanks for your help!

    1) Create a to_zoia folder and a from_zoia folder on your computer. The folder to_zoia is where you will put the patches you’ve downloaded into. The folder from_zoia will be the folder that takes patches from your ZOIA and puts them in there.
    2) Use the provided micro SD card and adapter or your own and put it in your computer and transfer those 2 folders onto the SD card.
    3) Before going to step “4” make sure you have no firmware file on your SD card if you’re not updating the firmware and just transferring patches. You can delete the firmware file on the SD card when your update is done or else each time you insert the SD card it’ll boot up and put it back on there. Now continue to step “4”.
    4) Insert the SD card “pins upwards” into your ZOIA and hold shift “up arrow below screen” button and then hold config button “bottom right corner button on grid” and this will open your config menu. Scroll down until you see “patches to SD and patches from SD”. Patches to SD will put all of your patches from ZOIA into the from_zoia folder. Patches from SD will upload your patches in the to_zoia folder to ZOIA.
    5) For information on updating firmware for your ZOIA, this can be found below. Make sure you check this page off and on for firmware updates for your ZOIA. https://empresseffects.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/1000275389-updating-firmware-on-the-zoia
    6) You can find general info like what is written above and more in the ZOIA manual if needed. http://assets.empresseffects.com/manuals/ZOIA.pdf
