Dumb question

Hello,
I noticed most of the patches do not have youtube or audio samples. Since the ZOIA only allows 64 patches in memory, how can I hear some of these before loading them on to an SD card to see which ones I’d like to try? Does that make sense? Thanks!

    Hi there :)

I can say with some certainty that there is no “secret audio bunker” that patch authors use to share audio samples – it’s up to each individual author to decide whether they’d like to include audio samples in their post or not, and the uploader doesn’t really ask you to do it! It’s just an extra that they could possibly include, often only by linking through the text in the description.

What I will suggest is that many authors (myself included) are open to being asked questions about their work! Many have PM links available on the site – you could ask them what their patch sounds similar to, or alternatively many of them may be able to point you to corners of the internet where these patches are being used in a live or recorded setting.

    Hope this helps,

While I def agree with 30 circles that creators of patches won’t hesitate to guide you through how it works, it also sounds like you believe the patches to be permanant once you load them onto the Zoia?
If you didn’t know, you can delete a patch by holding shift and pressing delete while nothing within the patch is selected.

Personally I like to download a bunch of patches onto my SD and try them out one by one to see if the patch fits my style/needs.

If something catches your eye while browsing patchstorage and it has no demo linked, it shouldn’t take more than 2 minutes to load that patch onto your Zoia and try it out for yourself :)

Also many patches on here are based on existing pedals, so you could always look up demos for that pedal and get a good idea of what the patch does. Hope that helps somewhat 👍
