PSS-460 Pluck

I love my Yamaha PSS-460, but it’s large, has crackly pots, and needs D batteries – so I sampled a few of my favorite patches on it so I could play them on my organelle; enjoy them in all their fizzy low-fi glory, with (of course) the dusty and characterful chorus circuit (sorry, “stereo symphonic”) button on.

I know absolutely nothing about programming, so this is a dead simple patch – it’s simply the “Low Fi Piano” patch with a different sample set loaded, and works just like that patch (includes the simple non BPM synced sequencer, which I actually prefer, and reverb/pitch/decay controls). Nothing complicated but it sounds very nice on the little organelle speaker and even better through an amp or on headphones!

This is the 3rd of three PSS-460 sounds I sampled; a basic FM pluck I ‘programmed’ with the very simple controls available on the synth.
