This patch / circuit is designed to help synchronize the Zoia with other Midi Devices, when using Tap Tempo control through the Zoia.
Some devices’ internal clocks are always set to an exact bpm. I.e. 105bpm = 1.750Hz. When using the tap function with an LFO, Midi Clock Out module etc, I was finding I was typically + or – .010Hz off from the exact bpm. This can be a problem with elaborate time based effects using several effects units… Tracking in your DAW without Midi connections etc.. etc. etc.
The Green LFO is the Exact BPM clock source..
The Orange LFO is the Direct Tap Controlled Clock…

It’s a bunch of Comparators, and Switches. I forget exactly what I did mathematically, but it worked out to each bpm was equivalent to a cv value of .00416. To increase accuracy, I used connection strength and summed a bunch of modules, to avoid losing some decimal places. Tried to keep the numbers as accurate as possible.

*I’m near certain there’s a more efficient way to do this using a quantizer… maybe?? I ‘dunno, but hey it works.
Range —> 70bpm – 170bpm
0.2 – Fixed a few errant connections, and biased values. Stopped the clock from jumping to the nearest 10bpm
