An experimental preset attempting to add a programmable portamento, here always rising from an octave below played pitch at a rate you set with Macro Controller i.
Note: Preset is only Polyphony 3.
It’s actually very difficult to program a parameterized portamento. Of course, you have the Mono Mode Pressure weighted portamento at your disposal for any preset (its activated for most Mono Bass presets) but you can turn it on for any preset.
This preset allows you to use the Pedal2 or Mod slider to adjust the portamento time for the rise to the played pitch. The one downside is that if you move your slider back to minimum and are playing a note – it will transpose up the octave. So when you return to no portamento, make sure you rearticulate the note or your note will be transposed up an octave. You really have to practice this to get the feel for what it does. Admittedly again an experiment and may not be that useful for performance.
Macro Controllers:
i (portSpeed) – Changes portamento speed. When set minimum, no portamento else will ramp from octave below to note played at relative speed set (min to max). Note if holding a note that had portamento applied and setting to zero, note will transpose up an octave so be used to articulate notes before setting back to minimum
ii (delay) – Brings in standard Osmose stereo alternating 4-tapped delay.
iii (timbre) – Changes timbre of Oscs.
iv (release) – Adds standard Osmose Blend of persistence release.
v (modulation) – Brings in a bit of modulation
vi (2ndOSC) – Brings in a second set of OSCs that ramp identically to the main OSC.
Pedal 1 – Sustain
Pedal 2/Mod Slider – (i) Controls Portamento speed
