This piece is generative (the sound generation process is defined by the patch, which could go on forever . . .), ambient (you can meld into the background with the music), and aleatoric (while the sound vocabulary is limited, selection of pitch, timing and timbre within the vocabulary is left to chance).
The polyphonic pad is a collection of eight independent voices that come and go, providing a nondescript backdrop for the other events.
Try varying the pitch content (quantizers) and the event timing (the average event arrival time is controlled by the Bernoulli gate probabilities). Play with the FM attenuator on the SAWS module for interesting glissandi effects.
