Phaser Noise

Me messing around with VCV Rack2.
I did have some drums and percussion from Quadpercs in this patch, none of my patches using Quadpercs will work. I have been guided by AI to fix it at the program level, but I failed. I did get it showing the green light, though, I suspect an upgrade to the module as snafu’d it
Please use this simple patch as a starter and build upon it, lets see what the community can come up with.

Hi andr0067. I would not recommend rebuilding a non-functioning module unless you are really interested in the programming/signal processing and want to build modules from scratch (which is an art in of itself).
For making a drum beat, I’d recommend using something else other than Quadpercs. I tried out that module out it just doesn’t seem to work; the manual also 404s. Unless you have a strong reason to use it, there are plenty of drum modules that work well in the VCV Rack environment without editing them, such as the 4ms XOX drum pack (https://library.vcvrack.com/4ms-XOXDrums). You should be able to swap it out pretty easily and get a decent result.

While I have no idea how familiar you are with VCV Rack (I’m assuming you’re pretty new based on the beginner patch tag) or your overall goals, I feel it important to stress that one should avoid relying on AI. It has a tendency to recommend nonsensical or rabbit-hole-like solutions for VCV Rack in particular, probably because it is a somewhat niche subject.
Just saying all of this because it would have been helpful to me. I did some weird AI-guided learning early on and in hindsight the instruction and proposed direction for learning was … not great. I hope this helps, and good luck!

    Hi! Thanks for commenting.
Quadpercs used to work just fine upo until about a month ago. I have used it quite a lot, as I bought the licence.
It was quite handy as it has some of my favourite drum machines, although I have all the samples for most of the machines in Quadpercs, and could use them with a sample player module.
I didnt get any further with repairing it.
I have replaced the drums on my sequences that were using the module, and found some better drum sounds as a result.
I have been using VCV Rack for about four years, although I tend to use it most for voices triggered by my Keystep and MIDI/CV Keyboards, and some bass sequences triggered from my DAW (MPC Beats & Ableton Live)
When I posted those patches, I hoped that people would use them as a seed to grow them further.
