Insert Mode Program. Configured for Parallel Routing (default) or Series Routing. Program MIX 50%. PolySynth into PolySynth. Programmed for stereo use.
Peeled off from a concept List-In-Progress. Uses the [P] HotKnob to blend between two identical effect structures, configured with distinct differences.
The intent here is for a huge soloing synth having ribbon controller-like bendability: uber-Whammy portamento, with mod wheel effects as you approach the EXP1 Toe position.
And if you think the default Parallel Routing is extreme, just try it in Series. Not the easiest to control – mapped to an expression pedal – without making it into a slide whistle. But that’s the whole point.
EXP1 sweeps LFO Amount, LFO Rate, Spread, Level 2, Shift 1-2-3, and Pitch Wheels up 1 octave in both PolySynths. EXP2 is mapped to the [P] HotKnob (optional – saved at mid-throw), for an alternate source for cross-Mixing the two synthesizer patches. It also sweeps Play Style in both PolySynths.
All three HotKnobs are pre-programmed for making fine adjustments to several of the effects. Customize the sound, using these variations:
* [P] HotKnob (+/-) – crossfades Mix in both PolySynths. [default = 50]
* [A] HotKnob (+/-) – adjusts LFO Dest & LFO Shape in PolySynth 1. [default = 57].
* [B] HotKnob (+/-) – adjusts LFO Dest & LFO Shape in PolySynth 2. [default = 57].
Other options include momentary or latching FREEZE in either / both PolySynths. HS1 punches in maximum Resonance in both PolySynths.
See the Program Notes for more information on the PERFORM switch mappings (I ran out of room to document the Pitch Wheels there).
