This list of 98 H90 insert mode programs includes every glitchy, wobbly, fuzzy, airy, wiggly, crunchy, noisy, groovy, drunken, and broken bit of sonic wabi sabi I could squeeze out of my H90. It was inspired by the Source Audio ARTIFAKT pedal, which is a fabulous piece of work.
Many programs are now more polished but there is still work ahead. I’ll return with proper developer notes and better patchstorage comments in a few months. I’ll also continue to add more controller movement, correct warts, and polish programs using fresh ears.
As used here:
Vinyl refers to periodic pitch changes (vibrato).
Warp (ed) refers to non-periodic pitch changes (usually using Sticky Tape algo).
LoBit includes distorted digital delay repeats.
Mangled includes distorted verb tails.
Tverb uses algo TremoloVerb.
Mid-Fi, Lo-Fi, and No-Fi refers to band-width limited fidelity (think old AM radios)
Glitch includes random dropouts
Fuzzy uses algo Aggravate
Worm uses algo WormHole
uVerb means Belton Brick style reverb
The H90 will drive headphones with a guitar alone if you turn the P Out Gain Hotknob to +12dB. So I always set that as the first/left-most hotknob where it is always within reach.
My signal chain is often a UAFX amp sim as a stereo insert, and a pair of headphones after my H90. Naturally, some of these programs may sound bad if you use another amp sim or no amp sim at all. Please expect to adjust to taste.
IF YOU HEAR NO SOUND, IT IS PROBABLY BECAUSE YOUR H90 IS NOT CONFIGURED FOR A STEREO INSERT OR YOU HAVE NOT WIRED UP AT LEAST ONE INSERT. IF SO, YOU PROLLY NEED TO TURN THAT OFF IN THE “ROUTING” PORTION OF THE SOFTWARE.
Also, note that the stereo amp sim is entirely bypassed in the last 26 programs (73-99). Most of these are lo-fi/old-tyme Mexican radio sounds.
Most programs were created using the middle toggle position of a Les Paul. Still, your mileage may vary so start there and try other toggle positions.
These programs use the hotswitches, an expression pedal, and aux switches #4, #5, and #6. Aux #4 is always a 5dB boost. Aux #5 and Aux #6 could be anything, but are always described in the developer notes [actually, no notes yet … coming soon]. My expression pedal is globally linked to P Hotknob. So the P Hotknob functionality is intended to be expression pedal functionality.
I’ve learned from and incorporated material from innumerable gearheads to build/compile this list. Grateful attribution is provided where possible. And, of course, many thanks to the geniuses at Eventide. The H90 is an absurdly rich resource and powerful tool.
hi, i’m only getting one bank of programs. three programs total. is this correct?
Hi.
There are about 99 programs in this list.
I just reloaded the list. Could you please download it again and report back here. I want to make sure you can get them all.
Thanks.
