A simple mod to control Critter & Guitari’s groovy Namesake with the Korg nanoKONTROL2. Namesake’s original controls behave in the same old way, but if you add the Korg device you can access the drawbars and everything directly from the nanoKONTROL2.

On the nanoKONTROL2 the faders control the drawbars. The knobs select the waveforms. The buttons are presets for the Synth and ASDR settings.

The first four S, M and R buttons are preset levels for Displace, Trem. Rate, Trem Depth and Transpose. The remaining S, M and R buttons are preset amounts of Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release. The Organelle knobs will override those preset levels.

The Organelle should send a sysex message to the nanoKONTROL2 when the patch starts up that makes the LEDs behave properly and does some other proprietary stuff. If the S, M and R buttons aren’t toggling radio button style, reload the patch and press the Aux key on the Organelle to resend the sysex message.

If you later use the nanoKONTROL2 for some other purpose you’ll want to reset it to factory settings when you plug it into some other device. You can do this by holding down both “track” buttons and the cycle button as you plug it in (the transport buttons will blink to confirm).
