MuterLooper enables you to cut the volume of 2 different AUM channels in a looping sequence or cycle. There are two rows, each containing 8 pads. The top row corresponds to AUM Channel A and the bottom row to AUM Channel B. Each pad can be toggled ‘on’ or ‘off’ by pressing it. Pressing play in AUM cycles through the rows of pads and adjusts the volume in the corresponding AUM channel. When the pad is ‘off’ the volume of the corresponding AUM channel is set to 0. When the pad is ‘on’ the volume of the corresponding AUM channel is set to the value set by the adjacent knob controller.
The rate at which the app cycles through the pads on a row depends on the value of the corresponding Bts/pad knob. The value of this knob is the number of beats in each pad position e.g. Bts/pad of 4 means that as the app cycles through the pad on each row it rests on each pad for 4 beats. You can have different values for Bts/pad on each channel for some interesting rhythmical effects.
Load up your favourite AUV3s synths/generators into Channel A and B and then experiment with different patterns of pads in on/off positions, and different Bts/pad values.
An FX send channel can help smooth the effect of rapidly changing volumes; try it with reverb and/or delay and mix to taste.
Remember that it only works when you press play in AUM.
Use Shift to reset to the start of the sequencer.
