Mutant QuadraPhase (+3)

Insert Mode Program – Series Routing (default). Phaser into Phaser. This is less intense with a change to Parallel Routing. Programmed for stereo use.

Dual BiPhase instances in series, each with forward & ‘reversed’ LFOs. Speeds for each instance are halved / doubled, respectively. EXP1 increases these Speeds eight-fold, from 0.25 / 50 Hz. to 2.00 / 4.00 Hz. EXP1 settings apply to all variations below.

The Hotswitches 1,2, and 3 change the base type of phaser. The 1st two are intense; the 3rd on the mild side. One is a pair of 8 stage Feedback phasers. The #2 variation pits Negative and Positive 8 Stage phasers against each other. The third: Script Phase 90-ish 4 Stage phasers (liberties taken on the Speeds). ~0.10 Hz. to ~8.25 Hz. would’ve been more accurate, but that would mess with my EXP1 scheme.

All Phaser types default to 0.25 / 0.50 Hz. Speeds, per instance. Offset Brake / Fast / Slow speeds are available for both Preset A and/or Preset B. See the Program Notes for complete information on the PERFORM Switch mappings.

Killer Program among many you have created. I prefer the HS3 settings currently, very vocal. Thank you for creating and sharing!

Hi Brock. Thank you for uploading these presets! I really like the HS3 version of this patch.

I’m new to the H90 and I’m trying to figure out how to make the HS3 the default patch but I haven’t been able to find anything in the owners manual. Is there a simple way to do that? Or is there a way to save a hot switch as a new patch?

Hey there, Brent. Yes, it’s easy. Go to PERFORM, and set HS3 to ON. (Rename the Program, if you like). SAVE it. That’s it. It’ll always be in that configuration when you load it up again.

There is a similar Phaser in the Gray & Orange Box MiXeR Program. Just one phaser, with a different SPEED / Expression range, but closer to the actual settings in a Phase 90. That would give you the option to replace the M-117 flanger with another algorithm type.

Then SAVE that as a Program. Or, you can always just SAVE one “half” of a Program as a Preset. The H90 is a deep device, but it does get much easier to navigate with practice.

Thank you Brock! I was trying to find a way to save it in the software, which wasn’t working. I’m really enjoying your patches.
