Insert Mode Program – Series Routing – Program MIX 50%. Originally using the EQ Compressor as a band limiter, then transformed into a radical format with Q-Wah into Mod Delay. Programmed for stereo use.
CAUTION: Certain combinations of resonant delays (comb filters) with extreme feedback – especially as preceded here by narrow bandwidth audio – can get very loud, and out of hand very quickly. YOU HAVE BEEN FOREWARNED!
The original rack effect played itself off as a dual flanger, but with enough variable range to really hurt yourself. Yes, it could have been made to be milder, but why?
All three HotKnobs are pre-programmed for making fine adjustments to several of the effects. Customize the sound, using these variations:
* [P] HotKnob (+/-) – adjust the Q-Wah Q-Intensity and the Mod Delay Mod Shape. [default = 90]
* [A] HotKnob (CCW) – adjust the Pulse Width (waveshape) for Q-Wah Mod Shape & Mod Source. [default = 100].
* [B] HotKnob (+/-) – change the Notch (Mod Delay A & B). [default = 5].
EXP1 sweeps Q-Wah Bottom, Speed, and Manual, with a small range of Mod Delay Feedback A & B, Mod Depth, and Mod Speed.
Other options include momentary & latching delay glides to 500 & 1000 mS, REPEAT the delay buffer, Mod Delay Wet Mix dropout (focus on Q-Wah), and a Q-Wah Depth & Speed Mod boost using a Square waveform.
See the Program Notes for more information on the PERFORM switch mappings.
