Insert Mode Program – Series Routing – Program MIX 75%. Flanger into TremoloPan, offset for semi-sync’ed, undulating effects. Programmed for stereo use.
The ‘claim to fame’ for the original rack effect was the ability to modulate the modulators (Rate 2, Depth2), for complex PolyMod flanging / chorus. Now, that’s common to any of the ModFactor-based FX in the H90.
Add or subtract this AM/FM of the LFOs with the [P] HotKnob. All three HotKnobs are pre-programmed for making fine adjustments to several of the effects. Customize the sound, using these variations:
* [P] HotKnob (+/-) – Adjust Depth Mod, Speed Mod, and a limited Mod Rate in both the Flanger and TremoloPan. [default = 50]
* [A] HotKnob (+/-) – adjust the Pulse Width (waveshape) for Flanger Shape and Mod Shape. [default = 10].
* [B] HotKnob (+/-) – adjust the Pulse Width (waveshape) for TremoloPan Shape and Mod Shape. [default = 15].
EXP1 sweeps Flanger Intensity, Depth, Speed, and Manual with TremoloPan Speed, Width (“Sync”), and Manual.
For Performance Parameters, it is useful to have (LFO) Retriggers available to both effects, especially in conjunction with the Fast/Slow Speed offsets there. I opted for HotSwitch-ing among Flanger Types (default being a deep Thru-0).
* HS1 – a milder Positive Flanger with Dly Offset adjustment
* HS2 – a very intensely negative Jet flanging.
* HS3 – a Negative Flanger, occupying the middle ground.
