Six Plus One fun with Wallenda and Masarti, creating absolute space guitar.
Wallenda is a ‘Karplus–Strong Delay with unison’ (basically a resonator, or tuned delay). Resonators can sound harsh when used as an audio effect unless you provide pitch information. In this case, polyphonic sample and hold is quantised to D minor, so that each channel produces a note in key with the guitar playing. I’ve done a few resonator patches, but Wallenda has some really nice features, like unison and a ‘stretch’ parameter which makes more of a string sound.
Masarti is a comb filter, which is processing the signal from a polyphonic delay (Bogaudio CVD) and then goes into a band-pass filter and more delay for some spacey sound effects.
