Mike D (for Dean) in a Box: It’s an attempt at getting Mike Dean’s guitar tone from his work with Kanye, Kid Cudi, etc. Definitely inspired by his solo on Devil In A New Dress (and some others).

This is my first Zoia patch that I created, and I’m excited to share with the community. I came up with the idea after loving Mike Dean’s guitar solo tone (which I believe he’s getting through some rack gear/Autotune) and wanting to emulate that as close as I could in Zoia.
Basically it’s three audio signals (normal, octave down, and octave up) that go into a mixer so you can control the amount of each of these, and then that overall mix is fed into a gated fuzz, reverb, and delay to get that “hugeness” of his sound. The octave up & down aren’t done with Zoia’s pitch shifter, though. Instead, I used tips from the Zoia subreddit to use a granular module for the octave down and an audio multiply for the octave up. It’s not exact but I think it sounds pretty close! If anyone uses it and has recommendations, let me know!
First Page: Mix & Effects
Audio In > 3 Channel Mixer (1 is normal, 2 is octave down, 3 is octave up) > Gated Fuzz > Reverb > Delay. Adjust to taste!
Second Page: Octave Down (Granular module)
Third Page: Octave Up (Audio multiply + Fuzz)

Hello,
I like it a lot. Would it be possible to make a stereo version, please? Or what should I connect to stereo output manually?
Hi Pavel, so sorry I’m just now seeing this! I think I could make a stereo version pretty simply or you might be able to change the audio input and output into stereo, then run input into the initial modules and run out from the final module into the (now) stereo output. If you haven’t solved by now, I’ll take a look at what I can do.
