I created this template to provide a customizable MIDI control surface with controls that can be individually set to any MIDI channel and Control Change and labeled as desired.

In addition, each control can be customized with a different color.

To do so, simply press the “EDIT CTRL” button in the top right to access each controller’s settings.

Using the “EDIT LABEL” button, you can customize the labels for each controller by using the virtual keyboard and pressing the corresponding “INSERT LABEL” button.

The keyboard can be moved using the LR control in the top right.

To restore the default settings, simply press the “RESET CTRL” button and select “YES” or “NO”.

Using the “MIDI CON” button, you can choose which TOUCHOSC connection to send MIDI messages to.

Rev. 1 Update:
The switches on each fader now remember their last position.

Rev. 2 Update:
– Added fader centering buttons for bipolar controls (e.g., panning controls).

– Changed the behavior of fader switches (activating them resets the fader).

Rev. 3 Update:
– Created four groups of sixteen controls for a total of 64 controls.
– Added the “MIDI GLOBAL SETTING” button to globally set MIDI channel reception and transmission, and control change reception and transmission, for each control group.

The template can, however, be expanded beyond these 64 controls:
Simply add a “C5” page to the PAGER, copy any “SURF*” group to it, and add another sixteen controls.
